Description de la fonction :

You will be in charge of multidisciplinary studies and projects, notably in the frame of the “Reverse Metallurgy”, dealing with the recycling of metal bearing by-products and end-of-life products mainly through pyro-metallurgical techniques.
Among other tasks, you will conduct trials (at lab, pilot or industrial scale) and/or modelling work,supervise technicians work and report results to R&D partners and clients.
You will also contribute to the activity development and diversification at regional and European
levels by generating new ideas, by the elaboration of new projects (EIT Raw Materials, H2020…) and
through the further development and consolidation of a global R&D&I network with academic and
industrial partners.

Profil souhaité du postulant :

Master degree in Engineering (Chemistry, Metallurgy, Energy, Materials, Mining, Electro-
- Creativity and pro-activity, which makes you a real problem solver;
- Team player, who possesses the necessary listening and communication skills;
- Good knowledge of English and French;
- Are considered a plus : PhD or experience in the recycling of metals, energy production and
recovery, high temperature processes (EAF, plasma…), waste characterisation and
processing, thermochemical modelling, environmental legislation

projects on its Sart-Tilman and Val-Benoît sites (Liège, Belgium).

a major contributor of the “Reverse Metallurgy”, a circular economy R&D&I projects portfolio
supported by the Walloon Government, aiming at developing technologies and new products
favouring the recycling of metals and the recovery of energy in the regional process and
manufacturing industry.
